Visit to Den Rock Park

While I'm still rebuilding my stamina from my recent bout of pneumonia, we will try a somewhat easier hike than our traditional one his month and visit lovely Den Rock Park in Lawrence.

The walk is about 2 miles on alternating level and hilly ground and will include a stop at some rapids on the Shawsheen River. Along the way, I will talk about the history and natural history of the park.

Wear sturdy shoes. Bring insect repellent and water.

Directions:
For GPS purposes, use 380 Winthrop Ave. as the address.
It is across from the North Andover Market Basket plaza
1. Take I-495 to Exit 101A (= Rt. 114 East).
2. Drive ~¼ mile and pass the two gas stations on the right.
3. The driveway is right after the Wave gas station.
Drive slowly. If you blink, you'll miss it.
5. Park in the entrance area parking lot.
