The June instalment of Android Manchester is booked and ready to go thanks to our amazing hosts The BBC!
This quarter we will cover the latest developments in Android and Kotlin and have some exciting talks from the local community. There will be plenty of opportunity for networking and food and drink will be provided.

We'll have 2 great talks:

### Attempting to simplify the start-up phase of iPlayer Android using Coroutines and Flows. Cautionary tales from the new world.

#### - By James Shephard (BBC)

He'll share insights and lessons learned from improving BBC iPlayer's Android startup with Coroutines and Flows. Don't miss it!

### iPlayer Mobile Release Trains: A Snapshot on How We Build Quality-In

#### - By Barry Ehigiator (BBC)

Join us for a behind-the-scenes snapshot on how the BBC iPlayer mobile team delivers high-quality releases at scale.

In this session, we’ll explore how release trains, test driven development, and a “quality-first” mindset help us ship with confidence - across platforms, devices, and to millions of users. Whether you're in QA/QE, development, or product, you’ll walk away with practical insights on building quality into every stage of the iPlayer mobile delivery lifecycle.
