It's time for another Android Budapest meetup. At our November event, you can learn more about the technology and meet fellow mobile devs in person!
As usual, we’ll have two great talks, one of them from a first-time speaker from our wonderful community. They will set the mood for the evening's conversations, exploring accessibility and text scaling on Android.

🔷 Accessible Mobile Apps for Everyone - Csaba Szugyiczki, Supercharge
Accessibility is often an overlooked aspect of mobile app development.
We tend to think of it as extra effort made only for a small portion of our users. In this talk, I’ll challenge that view and highlight some of the most crucial fixes that can actually benefit many of your users. We’ll also cover the key requirements of the European Accessibility Act, which has been in effect since the end of June.

Let me tell you a story about the bane of all UI designers. The kryptonite of aesthetically pleasant screen components. The nightmare of even seasoned mobile developers. This is the tale of one simple woman who dared to use text scaling on her Android phone... and managed to keep her job after doing it.
Together we will be clipped, ellipsized and sometimes restructured in order to tackle the most common mistakes made by (not so) well-known apps. By the end you will be checking text scaling on every app you come across for fun. More importantly, you will become a dev who knows how to avoid those mistakes in advance to keep both your clients and users happy.
