See all- Learn about the geology of North Wales on a guided mountain walk on Moel EilioLlanberis, Llanberis£50.00
Join us on this beautiful, relaxed walk with a focus on geology and the landscape, accompanied by an experienced Geologist who will give us the geological history of the area and some information about types of rock and their impact on the geomorphology. Kathy Kavanagh was formerly a mineral exploration geologist who did extensive fieldwork throughout Africa, but now regularly hikes for pleasure and studies the rocks back home in Britain.
We will begin in the popular town of Llanberis, walking a circular route to Moel Eilio, a height of 726m. It is a less trodden path with spectacular views across to Snowdon, all the surrounding mountain ranges and the Menai Strait with Anglesey beyond.
Ideal for everyone from beginners (with a reasonably good level of fitness for walking) to experienced individuals alike.

- Moel Siabod: mountain walk via Grade 1 scrambleCapel Curig, Capel Curig£50.00
Join me for a circular walk beginning in Capel Curig and up to the summit of Moel Siabod at 872m. This route will take us on the beginner level Grade 1 scramble of the Daear Ddu Ridge on the south-east side of the mountain, where there is always the option of avoiding the scramble or the exposure if you want to. We pass through the ruins of a disused quarry and return along the path of the north east ridge. There are seldom any crowds on this route, even at the summit and the views across to the Glyderau and Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) are stunning (weather permitting!).
Ideal for those with a general good level of walking fitness and the desire to get your hands on some rock for clambering.
