Open House New York: Piano Concert

Once a year, hundreds of locations across the city throw open their doors to celebrate all the things that make New York City so special. And of course, the Church of the Transfiguration is one of them!

Our weekend of special events includes an amazing performance by the world-renowned Romanian-American pianist Matei Varga, who will be performing several gorgeous piano pieces, including two of Beethoven's most beloved and demanding sonatas. Mr. Varga will be performing on Transfiguration's magnificent Bosendorfer piano that was once owned by William F. Buckley!

The whole weekend will include numerous tours and special events to celebrate the church's 175th Anniversary, as well as the 100th Anniversary of the Episcopal Actors' Guild and the opening of Houghton Hall Arts Community.
