Sep 7 PATONGA TO PEARL BEACH A walk on the northern side of the Hawkesbury river estuary. Apart from the two beach villages, there are superb views of Broken Bay all the way to Kuring-gai Chase NP and we may see Waratahs, which come out in August and September. Meet at the Patonga Beach jetty (from the Newcastle Freeway, take the Gosford turnoff, then turn off to Woy Woy and continue via Umina Beach). (8 km, medium)

Bring comfortable walking shoes,rain jacket, lunch, water (1L or more).
