Apr 26 GOLDEN STAIRS CIRCUIT This walk in the Katoomba area has spectacular views of the Jamison valley, Mt Solitary, the Three Sisters and more. We start from Scenic World, Katoomba, and descend through lush forest to Federal Pass, which we follow past the great landslide of 1931 until we reach the bottom of the Golden Stairs. A climb of 45 mins or so takes us to the ridge top and Narrow Neck Road, which we follow, enjoying further great views, to return to Scenic World. Meet at 10am outside the entrance to Scenic World, Cliff Drive, Katoomba. (6 km, 5-6 hrs, high)
Bring comfortable walking shoes,rain jacket, lunch, water (1L or more).
