#29 Angular Munich Meetup

Details

Let's kick of a new series of Angular meetups!

We the co-organizers have gotten together, and we want to kick off the regular Angular meetup series again. We want to make this a regular occurrence, and we invite you to submit your talks, lightning talks, short demos of cool tricks or anything else related to Angular. Even if you don't want to talk, let us know what topics you would like to see and hear about.

Our first event in this newly started series is scheduled for 10. July, and is generously hosted by remberg. We're welcoming you from 18:30 onward, and the first talk starts at 19:00.

We have two talks for this evening:

Signals for State, RxJS for Events - but what does it mean?

Angular documentation states that you should use "signals for state, and rxjs for events". But how exactly? In this talk, Zlatko wanted to really dig into the ideas and concepts enabled by the Angular devs. He wrote down his ideas into some clear and straightforward patterns, aiming for simple code, easy to understand and maintain. In the talk, we'll see how to use Signals for handling the application's state and making the UI update smoothly, and why we still need RxJS for dealing with complex event streams.

Angular Enhanced: How AI Tools Transform Your Development

AI has become an essential part of modern software development, promising significant boosts in productivity and efficiency. However, for web developers — especially those working with the Angular framework — the sheer number of AI tools and large language models available today can create complexity rather than clarity. Constantly evolving APIs, shifting web standards, and dynamic client requirements further complicate effective adoption, often leading to frustration and suboptimal outcomes when using tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Windsurf. In this talk, I’ll guide you through the AI tool landscape, highlighting which solutions truly enhance productivity in real-world Angular development scenarios. You’ll learn practical strategies for integrating these AI tools effectively into your workflows, and you’ll gain insights into their limitations and potential pitfalls. By the end of this session, you’ll be equipped to confidently leverage AI tools to streamline and optimize your Angular development workflow.

Speaker: Daniel Sogl, Thinktecture AG
