We're pleased to welcome the community for another event to share knowledge and spark discussion on how we use Angular.

Join us for our talk about practical applications of signals, followed by some networking time.

Talk

  • Signals in the Real World: Patterns, Pitfalls, and AI-Powered Refactors

Description:
Your Angular app uses Signals… but only in a few places, while the rest of the UI is still driven by async pipes, Subjects, and “mysterious” updates.

In this talk we will migrate UI state to Signals - learning when Signals beat RxJS, when RxJS should stay, and how to avoid common traps like overusing `effect()`.

We’ll also show how to use AI tools to speed up refactors and generate solid first drafts so you leave with patterns you can apply the next day.

You should come if you want to:

  • make Angular state simpler and more consistent across the app
  • reduce subscription boilerplate and “why didn’t the UI update?” bugs
  • get a clear checklist for Signals adoption (and becoming zoneless-ready later)
  • know how to use AI to accelerate Angular refactors

Speaker: José Lourenço - Frontend Engineer with experience with React and Angular. José is passionate about solving problems and innovating using all the tools at his disposal.

Schedule
