Angular Zurich September 2026
Details
Hey Zürich, we’re back after the summer break! Angular Zürich returns this September with another evening of talks, discussions, and good company. This time we’re reaching another small milestone: for the first time, our entire speaker lineup consists of external speakers joining us to share their experience with the community.
Talks:
Everything I need to know about monorepos I learned in kindergarten: A story about sharing and boundaries
by Roberto Heckers
Every kindergarten class has two kids: one who hoards all the blocks, and one who gives everything away. Monorepos have both, and neither approach works particularly well. Sharing code is one of the reasons we build monorepos, but without clear boundaries, shared code quickly becomes something that owns everything and nobody wants to change. In this talk, Roberto will walk through an Nx workspace structure that makes those boundaries visible, show how to enforce them with tags and dependency constraints, and explore the everyday decisions that separate genuinely shared code from code that simply ended up in the same folder.

Re-imagining Module Federation in Angular
by Andres Gesteira
Module Federation gives us a runtime model for loading and sharing modules between independently deployed builds, but in Angular there is more than one way to get there. While Angular provides its own CLI-based build pipeline, custom pipelines open the door to alternative implementations using tools such as Rspack and Vite. In this talk, Andres will explore what changes when moving beyond Angular’s default tooling, the trade-offs these approaches introduce, and the additional responsibility around build integration, compatibility, and long-term maintenance when adopting a custom Module Federation setup.
