IMPORTANT INFORMATION! PLEASE READ TO END!!

We're back this year at Uhuru Flea Market for one of our favorite outreach events to spread the animal liberation message! We will also be giving out free vegan food samples.

All funds raised will be donated to animal sanctuaries. In April's market, we raised $240 for Rancho Relaxo animal sanctuary in South Jersey. In May's market, we raised $150 for Skylands Animal Sanctuary in Wantage NJ, June we donated $150 for Woodstock in High Falls, NY, in August we donated $300 to Indraloka Animal Sanctuary, and in September we donated $311 to Lancaster Farm Sanctuary! And last year we donated $1243.65 total! The donation recipient is chosen by volunteers on the day of the flea market.

PLEASE RSVP HERE IF YOU CAN DEFINITELY COMMIT TO AT LEAST ONE HOUR.

We will set up starting at 8:30 am and sell from our space from 9 am to 4 pm, and packing up from 4 pm to 5 pm. Please include the hours you are committing to in the comments or send an email to philly4animals@gmail.com

PARKING: You can usually find free street parking near the flea market (43rd and Chester) although you may have to walk a block or two.

HOW TO FIND US: Our space is usually on 43rd Street, south of Chester. The spaces are usually marked in chalk along the sidewalk, and ours is around #53. Look for a huge red bowl of water on the sidewalk set out for dogs - that's us! CALL MARIANNE AT 610-733-1248 if you have trouble finding us.

This is a really fun event. In addition to selling items, we have a table with animal liberation information, which has generated some fantastic discussions. A wonderful farmers market is also in Clark Park, right next to where we set up. It's a unique way to spread the message and have fun at the same times.

We always appreciate donations - please, try to contribute things that will sell, NOT junk like your used underwear or your homemade tapes (actual past donations!) Suggested items include tools, sports stuff, furniture, toys, cds, dvds, small electronics, office equipment, kitchenware, new or gently used linens, JEWELRY (always a good seller) and unique collectors items (ornaments, etc). THANKS everyone who contributed items for our flea market sales in the past! NOTE: donations are NOT a requirement to volunteer. This event was set up for people to volunteer the day of the flea market. Donations are always welcome, however!

****** New or like new clothing or books are accepted, but please no other donations of books or clothing ******
