Every national animal protection organization is opposed to rodeo because of its inherent cruelty. Bucking straps, spurs, electric prods, and tail twisting are all painful ways of forcing animals into aggressive behavior. Rodeos consider animals to be cheap and expendable. They are used time and again before their bruised and battered bodies end up at the slaughterhouse
