Come and meet Gertie, the sweet and playful 5-month-old Holstein cow! Gertie enjoys a life of freedom and care at the farm animal sanctuary Jolene’s Retreat in Sonoma County CA. (She was rescued from the dairy business.)

But because Gertie isn’t with a herd of other cows (who would all be destined for slaughter), she loves human company and playmates – including us animal lovers who love making photograph with her.

IMPROVE YOUR PHOTOS in JUST 1 DAY
Spend a full day with professional photographer Jack Gescheidt (of The TreeSpirit Project) learning how to take much better photos with your iPhone (or smartphone), while enjoying all of Jolene’s other rescued farm animals.

COW & PIGS & DUCKS & CHICKENS, OH MY!
Meet Larry the potbelly pig and his buds; hang out with Jovi the Rouan duck who looks like a giant Mallard. And the farm’s rescued bantam chickens.
