Community Science Moth Night

Details
Join naturalist Louis Burns for a night of insect observation and community science! Come with your camera and a flashlight to observe the nocturnal insects that come to our light trap. Everyone is encouraged to use the iNaturalist app to document your observations and contribute to a growing community of scientists.
Louis Burns is an educator and naturalist for the New York City Parks Department. He has over a decade of experience teaching students of all ages about the natural world around them. He spends much of his free time documenting the diversity of life everywhere he goes, whether it’s paddling a canoe out into a salt marsh to find an endangered bird, or photographing a tiny insect crawling on his menu at a restaurant.
