Come to our A1/A2/B1 (i.e. beginner-to-intermediate) Gaelic session on Saturday 18th October at Tramway café, from 12:30pm to around 2pm.

I'll be at Tramway that day anyway, to run our B1+ conversation circle (2-4pm), so I'll just set both sessions up next to each other.

We'll be sitting on the 1st floor. Here's what we'll be doing:

  1. A wee bit of grammar, which I promise will not bore you and will be relevant to the rest of the session!
  2. A fun written passage of Gaelic! We'll take it in turns to read it and translate as we go along.
  3. Written practice! We're going to practice writing some Gaelic, to get the ol' fluency going. This is a great way to get used to building sentences in Gaelic, which is crucial for expressing yourself in the language, of course. This exercise can be done individually or in pairs, so nobody gets lost.
  4. Spoken practice! Having warmed up with listening, reading and writing, we'll then chat in groups about the same subject. Perhaps a more advanced A2/B1 speaker could head up each wee group, thereby helping people out and keeping things in Gaelic as much as possible.

If that sounds good, come along! Chì sinn air a' chiad làr thu.
