Holiday Party and Used Book Exchange

Welcome to the AACBG’s 5th Annual Used Book Exchange and Holiday Get Together!

Besides getting together to chat and eat and make general merriment, we’ll also be having our used book exchange again this year. It’s super low key: just pick one of your gently used books, write a brief note about why you love it and place it inside, wrap it, and bring it to Darcy’s (who is very kindly hosting the party again this year). We’ll have a very informal exchange of presents. Hopefully we all end up with a great used book, that comes from the library of one of your fellow book clubbers—a group that has excellent taste. ;-) After opening the books, additional swapping can happen (if you already own it, have read it, are dying to read somebody else’s book, etc.). Please do not bring books that we have read in this club, as most will probably already own them.

For dinner this year, we’ll be ordering out (cuisine yet to be determined), so please be prepared to chip in to help cover the costs. Of course, snacks or desserts are always welcome! BYOB.

One final note: this get together is for members of the Ann Arbor Classics Book Group. If you have just joined our group, please wait and attend our next book club in January. Regular attendees (i.e., you have attended at least one discussion prior to this): feel free to attend the party!
