'Tis the season (for fractals)

Details
So a bit late for Christmas, but with all the snow I was thinking how I've never really tried plotting fractals, so why not give it a shot! In particular, I'll be looking into Julia sets, and some super brief explanation of what makes a fractal a fractal. And, other than snowflakes, where do they show up in nature? Are there technological applications as well?
If nothing else, we'll be sure to get some pretty plots out of it :)
