Beer and Critique - Michigan Moments - October 12th Meetup
Details
Please note: You can upload your "Travel" images on the Meetup site on Friday October 7th, but we will be meeting Wednesday, October 12th at 6PM at the Blue Tractor to critique the images!!
If you RSVP, please plan on attending the September 27th critique session and upload your images before that time (though you can of course bring prints too). Folks can begin uploading images to the meetup site beginning Friday, October 7th.
For this event, we will be critiquing images that could, if you desire, be submitted to the 2016 Pure Michigan Michigan Moments contest. The contest has not been announced yet, but it has run during mid October for the last few years:

To be a part of the critique session, you do not need to enter the competition.
This event is open to beginners, hobbyists, and globe-trotting Nat Geo photogs alike - as long as you are interested in sharing feedback with fellow Shutterbugs in a casual setting over some food, imbibes, and photography!
If you've been to a previous critique with the Shutterbugs, this event will be similar - laid back, honest, polite, and constructive. We'll focus on the aspects of the images that we like as well as providing tips for improvement, so that we can see each other grow in artistic and technical ability. The images that you bring can be from any year, but trying to capture new images will extend our artistic capabilities even more.

During the critiques, we'll do the following:
> Meet at the Blue Tractor at 6pm upstairs. Feel free to get their early to meet the 6pm happy hour deadline.
> Since this Meetup is prepping us for entering images into a contest, there is no limit to the amount of images you submit as long as they are with the theme of Michigan Moments. Last year, the theme was Seasons.
> Either bring printed pictures (any size as we can easily pass them around) or post the images to the Shutterbugs page before the deadline listed above.
Patrick's critique sheet (https://umich.box.com/shared/static/scm7kde0agdisxdxw9os57lwyzf33sfl.pdf) has more about critiques.
NOTE: Those on the "Going" list must post images by midnight October 11th as a way of saying "I'm going." I will reluctantly remove folks who do not send me images by this time form the "going" list in order to give others a chance to attend. There are no hard feelings about this process. It's the only way that a free image critique even will work, so I appreciate your understanding
> Patrick will bring a laptop but participants may bring their own device to better view the electronic images.
> The artist will have an opportunity to discuss the image.
> This goes without saying but when we're at a place of business it's implicitly understood that we will patronize the business for allowing us to meet there.
There is a parking garage at 4th and Liberty Street as well.

With Fall colors around the corner, it's possible that some of you may be taking fall images for this meetup (especially if you're going up north!!). Here are some tips for taking fall colors:
