Details

I know this is short notice but if you have time on Sunday, come out and practice taking photos of the peony blooms which are peaking now. This should be fun for people with wide angle, 400mg zoom lenses, macro lenses, primes,... really just about any lens in your possession you can make work. I will be there to give some one-on-one help for beginners who want to learn how to compose, camera settings that get you out of automatic and set the mood for your image, how to increase the depth of field on wide blooms.

There will be a chance to do a small river walk and shoot some wild flowers as well. Along with shooting blooms, we can set up to do some portrait photos in the gardens if you would like to bring a spouse or friend to do this with. It should be a fun time.

Please note: construction at U of M hospital has the road blocked off. Come in on Observatory to Washington Heights. If you cannot find parking, park in the Hospital Parking garage. It is a very short walk to the gardens.

Please indicate if you intend on being there so I know who I am looking for.
