BTR - Betrayal Trauma Recovery Support Group
Details
In person support group for anyone who has experienced betrayal trauma, whether in a relationship with your partner, a parent, sibling, work colleague, friend. Betrayal trauma can be isolating and this support group will provide a community of those who have experienced betrayal trauma.
Topic for Thursday, 5/28/26 is "The Power of Reframing."
How do we move on from our trauma? It's difficult to see next steps or your future self and reframing a situation can be life changing.
Coordinating this support group are two people who have connected via our betrayal trauma and find it therapeutic to use our experience to help others on their healing journey. We are not therapists or mental health experts; starting an in person group to connect and share our healing journeys.
Our inaugural support group in-person meeting is Thu 3/12/26 in Ann Arbor, Pittsfield Branch of Ann Arbor District Library.
Future includes retreats, workshops, self-care, outdoor activities (walks, hikes, biking) and other ideas generated by suggestions.
