Weekend Paddle & Burger Meetup – Back Creek Edition
📍 Launch spot: End of 2nd Street in Eastport (near Davis’ Pub), Annapolis, MD 21403
📅 Date: Sunday, August 11, 2025 (but open to Saturday if there’s interest!)
🕛 Meet at launch around 12:00 PM (directly across the street from the pub, free street parking around)| Lunch outside at Davis’ Pub ~1:15 PM
The weather’s looking gorgeous both Saturday and Sunday, so I’ll post this for Sunday, but if anyone’s interested in paddling Saturday instead, just let me know—we can shift the plan.
While my trusty pedal kayak is still hanging out in Indiana, I’ve got my inflatable SUP/kayak here and I’m ready to take it for a spin on Back Creek this weekend. The plan is to launch from the public access area at the end of 2nd Street in Eastport—right across from Davis’ Pub. It’s an unofficial but commonly used kayak/SUP launch area with free street parking nearby. If you're early, just look for someone swearing quietly at a pump—me inflating my SUP.
I’ll be on the water for about an hour starting around noon, and then plan to grab a late lunch at Davis’ Pub (highly recommend the burgers). You’re welcome to join for just the water part, just the pub part, or both.

Check out Capital SUP over on Americana Drive—they do rentals and we can shift the meetup spot if needed to accommodate. Just let me know in advance.
