Naval Academy Special Olympics - Track and Field

Details

We are all very excited to co-host the 46th Annual Anne Arundel County Special Olympics Spring Games at the US Naval Academy. The Annapolis Jaycees (Junior Chamber of Commerce) would not be able to put this event on without your help. This year we will be hosting the Special Olympics qualifier for a record number of athletes, 425!

If you are a Jaycee and have a Jaycee t-shirt please wear it. If you need to contact me during the day I can be reached at 410-921-0048

Location of Events
Saturdays Aquatics will take place in McDonough Hall while Sundays Track and Field and Bocce events will take place at Ingram Field.

Arrival and End Times
You will need a government issued ID to enter the Naval Academy. Please remember to bring one with you. Volunteers are asked to arrive at8:30 am on Saturday and 8:00 am Sunday. Events usually end between 2:00 and 3:00 each day. Look for the Volunteer Check-in table.

Due to the limited parking on campus, volunteers are asked to park outside of the Naval Academy and walk on through Gate 1. Free parking is available at the Bladen Street Garage located near St. Johns College. Free parking is also available along King George Street

Food
Lunch will be provided to volunteers both Saturday and Sunday.

Dress
Wear comfortable clothes. For Saturdays Aquatics, some volunteers will be in the pool area which is very warm. Sundays Track and Field is outside with a high temperature of 57. The track is by the water so there may be a breeze.
