Python Meetup - "GNU Radio using PyBOMBS" at The Commons

Details
We will be hosting the next Python Meetup at the Commons again! This is a great event for rudimentary to advanced Python users along with people just interested in tech!
TITLE: Getting Started with GNU Radio using PyBOMBS
Topic: Radio is entering a new era with the emergence of software-defined radio. Software is performing vital tasks in the radio, such as filtering and demodulation, that were once performed by dedicated analog circuits. GNU Radio is a free software development toolkit that can be used to implement digital signal processing algorithms in C and Python. PyBOMBS is a Python-based system designed to simplify both the process of installing GNU Radio and the process of importing software modules contributed by the GNU Radio community of users.
Presenter: CDR Charles W. (Chas) Hewgley IV is a Permanent Military Professor and a member of the faculty in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the US Naval Academy. He currently leads student research projects in robotics, amateur radio, and software-defined radio.
About the Venue: The Commons is a shared work space that is built around community, sharing amenities, relationships, space, and especially ideas.
