A gentle walk with a qualified Westminster Guide through Victoria Embankment Gardens, once considered the finest thoroughfare in Europe.

To celebrate Local London Guiding Day the wonderful guides from the City of Westminster Guiding Association are delivering some free walks.

This is a gentle walk mainly through Victoria Embankment Gardens meeting past and present heroes including Joseph Bazalgette – the Civil Engineer responsible for London's Sewerage System, Henry Fawcett - Professor of Political Economy, Postmaster General, supporter of Women's Suffrage, finishing at RNLI Tower Lifeboat Station who are celebrating their 200th anniversary.

Come and hear their amazing stories and how the heroes of Westminster have enriched our lives today.

Each year we support our current Lord Mayor’s charities. This year we will be collecting for Cardinal Hume Centre - who strive towards a society where everyone has a safe place to live and the opportunity to reach their full potential.
and the
MCC Foundation - the charitable arm of the Marylebone Cricket Club at Lord's. Their mission is to transform lives through cricket.

The walks we offer are free, the guides volunteer their time, any contribution will be gratefully received ... thank you.
