The Future of Ansible Content and Ecosystem

Details
For the first time in a very long time, we will be looking to have the meetup at a place that is very close to home for Ansible. We will be meeting in Durham for the first time since 2015!
As usual we will have pizza and a new addition, local beer on tap! Come hangout at the ansible office and talk automation!
Parking can be found directly across from the building in the North Parking Deck on American Tobacco Campus. I (Jake) or Greg will be downstairs letting folks in as our exterior doors do lock in the evening. If you have any trouble finding us, please reach to me on Twitter or email (jajackso@redhat.com) and I will help you find your way in.

Ansible is (and always will be if we can help it) changing. As some have heard, Ansible is introducing a new way to distribute content (read Modules, Plugins and Roles). This new method is led by a thing called Ansible Content Collection or just Collection(s).
At this meetup, we will be discussing some of the reasons on why this path was taken and also share an overview of collections.
After that, there will be a brief demo showing the creation workflow of a collection, from source to distributed tar ball on ansible galaxy. After that, we will take a quick look at some changes that will have to be made to playbooks if you want to use a collection.
If you haven't had a read already, take a look at a couple of blog posts written by the Community Team at Ansible as well as Dylan Silva, Principal Product Manager of Ansible Core.
