Anti-Billionaire Social Meetup

The goal of this meeting will be to organize for the first time and provide members with a list of organizations they can support/ volunteer with that support wealth equality. We also want to get an understanding of the types of policies members would like to support as well as ideas for future events that could garner growth behind removing billionaires from politics.

2/5/2025 Agenda

1. Introductions: The meeting will start with Tom introducing the group. Members can feel free to speak up and introduce themselves as well. We’d like to know why you decided to join the group and what will inspire you to keep coming back.
2. Speaker: A representative from FoodNotBombs will give a short talk on their organization, where you can volunteer, and other ways you can help.
3. Group Discussions: Each table will be encouraged to introduce themselves to each other and brainstorm ways to get involved that align with addressing wealth inequality and removing corporations/ billionaires from politics.
4. Survey: A survey will be printed out for everyone which will be used to gather ideas for future meetings, to get members’ perspectives on what they deem important, and on what will motivate them to continue to be involved.
5. Protest Organization: To maintain momentum we will begin the process of creating a formal organized protest. We can discuss where we would like it to take place and crowdsource ideas on how to bring other people into the group.
