NEOWC Labor & Education Committee is excited to present our next book club: Confessions of a Union Buster: New Activist Edition by Martin Jay Levitt & Terry Conrow Toczynski! Our facilitators will be Phil Corfman and Helen Rucinski.
In this book, a union buster, turned union organizer, shares the destructive tactics he used to undermine worker organizing in over 250 businesses. We'll use this as a backdrop to explore how we inoculate against these inevitable tactics in our own organizing and how we can prepare our own strategies to combat against union busting.
In terms of format, this will be a one day book club to discuss excerpts from the book. Closer to the date of the book club, NEOWC will provide electronic versions of the selected readings. The reading outline is below:
