What we’re about
This group centers people who are looking for liberatory, anti-colonial, and culturally rooted approaches to mental health, self-development, and community care. We reject the individualistic, pathologizing, and capitalist models that dominate mainstream wellness spaces—and instead create events and gatherings that honor ancestral knowledge, collective transformation, and the political realities we live in.
Created by Nalgona Positivity Pride, this group is for people who are tired of “self-improvement” narratives that ignore structural violence, and for those who want to reimagine care, growth, and healing outside of whitewashed frameworks. We host virtual and in-person events on topics like eating disorder harm reduction, body sovereignty, Indigenous cosmology in business, trauma from anti-fatness, and more.
This is a space for those who believe:
Healing is political.
Growth doesn’t mean assimilation.
Self-care is interwoven with land, memory, culture, and resistance.
All are welcome—especially those navigating marginalization, burnout, cultural displacement, or complex relationships with wellness culture.
Let’s gather, unlearn, remember, and reimagine together.
