Dear members, did you know, that modern plastics where somewhat developed and shaped in London, in the east end?
I invite you to discover the work and studios of over 120 of London’s painters, sculptors, theatrical designers, product designers, performers, jewellers, fashion designers, illustrators etc.
This weekend Bow Arts is having their annual open studio event and at the same time you can learn about and visit an exhibition that reveals the story of East London's central role in the invention and early development of plastics.
As the sheep start to understand the huge impact that disposable plastic has on our planet, its important to sharpen our knowledge and understanding of the material and its history. Looking back at how it was originally created as replacement for ivory in producing art.
Time: Friday 14 June, 6-9pm, Saturday 15 June, 12-6pm
Now, please don’t ask about when and where we meet etc! You get to choose, turn up when you want. I am not planning on an arranged meeting during the 2-day event.
If you’re wondering when I, your faithful organiser may be there? Well Friday evening at 7pm. You may track me down at one of our members own exhibits on the 2nd floor B block (Yes, it does sound like prison, queue the torture ...)

** GROUND RULES **
- The event is free. No need to buy tickets.
- There will be NO signs or reserved areas, seats etc for the anti-social group!
- No need to fear! There is no need to interact with anyone unless you want to.
- Dress code: Anything. Hipster fancy dress or imitation strongly not encouraged. You may risk serious injury or death.
- As always, if you can't find the venue, can’t get in, don’t ping me. I don’t care, and I won’t help.
