Lysterfield Lake Circuit Walk (Anxiety-Friendly)
Details
Lysterfield Lake Circuit
Come along for a relaxed walk around Lysterfield Lake.
I set up this group to create a low-key way for people who experience anxiety, or simply prefer a more relaxed way of meeting people, to get outside and go for a walk without the usual pressure that can come with socialising.
The walk is around 5.5km on a mix of paths and trails and should take roughly 1.5 hours, depending on the pace of the group. The walk is of low to moderate difficulty and includes some hills and uneven terrain.
There’s no pressure to make conversation or socialise. You’re welcome to chat as much or as little as you like, and the focus is simply on getting outside, going for a walk and spending some time around other people.
The walk will start 5 minutes after the listed start time. If you’re running late, please send a message through Meetup so we know you’re on your way.
What to bring:
• Comfortable walking shoes
• Water bottle
• Weather-appropriate clothing
Feel free to join even if you’re feeling a bit nervous about coming along. That’s kind of the point of the group.
Please note: Walks may be cancelled on the day due to strong winds or extreme weather.
Please make sure to register
