Where to go:
The Jack London is inside the Rialto Pool Room at 529 SW 4th Avenue. Enter through doors on 4th and head straight back to the stairs. You will see a neon sign.
What to expect:
Darkish space, lots of chairs, couches, graffiti style mural on the wall, cool temperature, mixed drinks and limited beer on tap. Lively crowd of mostly 30+ somethings. Full menu with sandiwiches, salads, pizza. Order at bar.
Parking: Street parking available. Free after 7p.m. SmartPark across the street at SW 4th and Alder. MAX and bus ball just two blocks away. Take the train!
Doors will secretly open at 6 p.m. so meetups can gather, chat and get comfy. The announced time for doors on facebook is 7p.m.
There will be long tables set up in the front of the room marked for Meetup!
What to do: Arrive when you can. The lecture starts at 7:30ish. The reserved seats will go to whomever shows up first. We generally have about 25-30 seats reserved for meetup, depending on rsvps. Have a seat there or sit wherever you are most comfortable! Happy hour is 4-7 so micro brews and well drinks are $1 off and there are cheap deals on small plates, too. 21 and over only, please.
