Monzo is dedicated to building a core banking system from scratch using Open-source and modern technologies to provide a unique experience to its customers. This talk describes how we use Kafka in our infrastructure and how it has been deployed on Kubernetes.
Guillaume is a senior backend engineer working on the backend systems and platform at Monzo. Prior to this, he worked at OVH where he deployed a Kafka as a service platform. He is a gopher and is passionate about distributed systems.

Edoardo is a Senior Developer with 23 years of experience in software development. He has been working at IBM Hursley labs for the past 15 years and is currently working on IBM's Kafka as a service offering. Edoardo's areas of expertise span from middleware and backend system to Eclipse development. Edoardo holds an MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Trieste, Italy.
