AKUG.PT #2 : Kafka Streams for Business in Action

We are pleased to announce our AKUG.PT #2 community event!

Capturing value from massive data requires to be able to process it in motion at scale. Apache Kafka® provides the necessary streaming platform for collecting and retrieving the data at scale. The emergence of Kafka Streams was designed to solve the large scale processing of data in motion. But how to implement it properly? What are its use-case? How to leverage its ecosystem? How to handle data on massive data stream?

Bruno Horta will be our speaker for this event. He will introduce Kafka Streams, share which business use-cases it can solve and a concrete implementation with the technology. It will be followed by Q&A and exchange session.

Bruno Horta has completed his studies in Software Engineering at the ESTG of the Instituto Politécnico de Leiria. He's a Senior Java Developer at VOID Software, focused on high-performance and distributed applications. He's passionate about developing prototypes within the context of IoT. He is also the founder of "Movimento Maker Portugal".
