What we're about
With the continued expansion of the IoT industry and the increasing prevalence of constrained devices, the need for a fully-featured real-time operating system with a small footprint becomes imperative. Apache Mynewt is the leading open source platform OS for 32-bit MCU-class devices, complete with the necessary features for a variety of IoT applications, including a preemptive real time OS kernel, controller-level BLE stack, support for several other network protocols, and a secure boot loader (MCUboot). The goal of Apache Mynewt OS is to enable uniform manageability both pre- and post-deployment, low power networking, and network-independent messaging. No more chip vendors' licensed binaries and proprietary APIs!
The Apache Mynewt Meetup group will host various events ranging from demos, workshops, showcases, discussions and more. Whether you’re working in IoT and embedded systems, want to get involved with embedded applications, get to know the community around Apache Mynewt at Apache Software Foundation (ASF) or just curious and want to learn about Mynewt, come out and join us!
