Summary: In modern cloud environments, infrastructure is dynamic. For a stateful, distributed database like Apache Pinot, the frequent replacement of underlying hosts or nodes presents a significant operational challenge. How do we handle these events gracefully quickly without impacting availability or performance?This talk we will dive deep into the contributed Pinot features as well as the automations required to achieve seamless, graceful node replacement in a production Pinot cluster.

Summary: In this talk, I’ll present the ongoing work to bring the Timeseries Engine in Apache Pinot to General Availability. Highlights include a brand-new Controller UI for seamless query building and visualization, a redesigned Broker-compatible API, and support for standard authentication—along with a preview of upcoming features on the roadmap.
