Avi has been in the R&D field for more than 15 years as an architect and as an engineer. His experience includes developing, designing, and leading large-scale big data software projects using Scala, Akka, Java, Cassandra, Kafka, Redis, Mongo etc'

Title:
Apache Kafka from zero to hero

Abstract:
The session is divided into two parts:

The first part will include theoretical background about Apache-Kafka: core concepts, usage, and configuration.

In the second part, we will get our hands dirty sending messages and consuming them from Cassandra. We will create a small app written in scale and Kafka that communicates through Kafka.

At the end of this meetup, you will have enough knowledge the kick-off your project

Prerequisites:

No background on Akka, Scala, Java or Apache-Kafka required.
