Canceled - Return to Chapter Transit Backpacking Hike

FTA meeting Tuesday May 14 canceled due to anticipated bad weather conditions. Program will be rescheduled.

Join Ron and Judi Harrison to hear about the trials, tribulations, tips, and tricks from the series of backpacking trips they led to transit the Apalachee Chapter of the Florida Trail Association’s ~150-mile section of the Florida National Scenic Trail (Florida Trail).**

This six-trip series started in early 2024 and also included an "Intro to Backpacking" at REI, a social gathering at Ology Brewing, and even a "shakedown" overnight trip at the Ft. Braden Trails. Hear everything that went into planning these trips, how they braved an active rainy season, the impacts of a historic rain event, challenges with prescribed burns, and still had FUN!

Be sure to come early to see videos and pictures from ALL of the trips before the presentation starts!
