Jump the Weekend! Hike at St. Marks River Headwaters, Buck Lake Trailhead

Active young adults and others are invited to get a jump on the weekend with this early evening hike at the new St. Marks Headwaters trailhead off Buck Lake Rd. We will meet at 5:50 and hike at 6:00 p.m. from 10995 Buck Lake Rd., located about 1.2 miles east of the 4-way stop at Buck Lake and Chaires Cross Rd. This beautiful 3.2 mile loop hike includes a bridge and boardwalk over the cypress swamp and through the woods where the St. Marks River starts its journey to the coast. Expect a mix of shade, sun, and heat, so bring sunscreen, insect repellent, and plenty of drinking water.
