Chapter Meeting - Human-Environmental Interconnection and Interaction

Details

Everyone is welcome!

Many of our Chapter’s programs focus on the Florida outdoors, particularly ecological and conservation considerations. At the next Chapter Meeting our speaker will broaden the perspective, bringing together human and environmental considerations and context.

Our speaker, Dr. Richard D Gragg, III, an interdisciplinary educator, scholar and scientist, is Professor of Environmental Science and Policy at the FAMU School of the Environment. He is a thought leader at the intersection of environmental science, ethics and policy; especially with regard to healthier, more sustainable human communities. Come join us in growing our understanding of human-environmental interconnection and interaction.

Our meeting begins with refreshments and a GORP (Good Old Raisons and Peanuts) contest at 6:30pm. GORP contestants should arrive by 6:15 to set out their offerings. Meet & Greet takes place from 6:30-7:00pm. The meeting starts at 7:00pm.

GORP contest rules:

  1. bring at least one pound of Gorp for tasting
  2. your Gorp must be homemade
  3. bring your Gorp in a container/bowl from which its is easy to scoop a spoonful
