Fall Wildflower Walk at Birdsong Nature Center

Grab your camera & binoculars and enjoy a 3 (+/-) gentle walk through the grounds of Birdsong Nature Center and appreciate the fall season filled with abundant wildflowers and migratory birds. Feel free to bring lunch beforehand to enjoy with others at the picnic area. Bring a small blanket or towel to sit on along the walk for some mindful meditation should you feel the need - it is an amazing place. Entrance Gates do not open till 1:00 pm. Walk will start about 1:45ish.
To maintain the serene environment BNC does not permit dogs or other pets, running or jogging, bicycles, 4-wheelers, or vehicles on the trails.
Enjoy a visit to the Bird Window, Butterfly Garden, Listening Place, and other features on the property such as the 43-box Bluebird Trail, Big Bay Swamp, the Farm Pond and Upper Pond, Frog Pond and Spring Pond, and the many natural habitats along their trail system.
Birdsong Nature Center is located at 2106 Meridian Road Thomasville, GA 31792. BNC is open on Sunday 1 - 5 pm., Admission is $5 for adults, $2.50 for children 4-12 years old and FREE to members.
Directions to Birdsong: From Tallahassee: Meridian Road north, 4 miles past the FL/GA border(marked by a blue sign on the right that reads Grady Co.) OR 319 north, turn left onto Rt. 93, then left onto Meridian Road, 3.8 miles on the left side of the road.
From Thomasville: 319 South, turn right at shell gas station onto Meridian Road, approximately 5 miles from the Shell or 3.8 miles from the stop sign at Rt. 93, on the left side of the road. Watch for a small sign that reads "Birdsong Nature Center".
