Chapter Meeting - Gear for Hiking and Short Backpacking Trips

You are invited to join our chapter meeting focused on gear for beginner to experienced-level hiking and short backpacking trips, presented by Dorrion Finley, Department Manager at our local REI Co-op store.

Our speaker was born and raised in Jacksonville, enjoying paddling and other water activities. It was not until he moved to Orlando in 2018 that he started to explore more of Florida’s lands especially in relation to the Florida Trail. Dorrion loves our ecosystem and our wildlife diversity, appreciating them more each time he opts outside. Working for REI, he would love to see the Florida Trail and all our wild, natural spaces thrive. For his 31st birthday in December, he plans to backpack the Eglin Air Force Base section of the trail. Let's ask him in January about his experience!

We open our Chapter meetings with a Social, featuring member-provided refreshments, at 6:30 pm. At 7:00pm the meeting begins, we adjourn at 8:00pm.
