You are invited to join our chapter meeting focused on the City of Tallahassee park system. They'll tell us what's new and what's in our future.

Eryca Childres, Park Management Specialist for the City of Tallahassee Department of Parks, Recreation, and Neighborhood Affairs, will be our speaker. Eryca has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Georgia. She worked for the Florida Park Service for eight years as a Park Ranger and as a Park Services Specialist, prior to assuming her current role with the City of Tallahassee as a Park Management Specialist in May 2025. Eryca has discovered that there are abundant miles of beautiful trails in Tallahassee that she had been unaware even though she lived in the area for almost a decade. In her spare time, Eryca enjoys kayaking, fishing, and walking through natural spaces.

We open our Chapter meetings with a Social, featuring member-provided refreshments, at 6:30 pm. At 7:00pm the meeting begins, we adjourn at 8:00pm. We rent a beautiful meeting space from the church; however, FTA and the Apalachee Chapter are not affiliated with the Unitarian Universalist Church of Tallahassee.

If you are a college student, feel free to organize a carpool (from campus) under the comments section.
