Once again it is time to work off all the turkey and dressing with a walk at the Edward Ball Wakulla Springs State Park. We will begin at the trail head next to the lodge and wrap around the spring passing through bottomland forest. The hike will be approximately 5 miles long with little elevation change. The trail is single width with numerous roots so the difficulty is moderate. There is a good chance that manatees will be visible in the spring behind the lodge. For those who wish to we can take on some additional calories by having lunch after the hike at the lodge restaurant.

The park is lactated at 465 Wakulla Park Drive Wakulla Springs FL 32327. From Tallahassee take US 319 south to SR 61, turn left on Bloxham Cutoff Rd (SR267). The park entrance will be on the right and is well marked. There is an entrance fee of $6 for multi passenger cars and $4 for single passenger cars. If you decide to eat at the lodge save the receipt and they will credit you for the entrance fee.
In past years there has been a craft fair at the lodge.
