Talk: Who is ready for HTTP/3?
HTTP is the foundation of the current web, and HTTP/3 is the upcoming major version of it. It is built on top of the QUIC transport protocol built originally by Google.
I will explain to you why you should care about HTTP/3 and what makes it unique. We will discuss how major internet players like Akamai are preparing for the new protocol and how you can try it yourself today.
About Mila:
Miloslav works for the Protocol optimization team at Akamai. They deployed QUIC to more than 100 000 servers, and they continuously measure and improve its performance.
Miloslav started to write web applications in 2005. His main domains are Python and software design, which he currently utilizes for DevOps and data science tasks.

Talk: Binary Protocols are back!
Binary protocols made a comeback and it's time to welcome them in
our arsenal. We will look at the pros and cons of binary
protocols and dig a bit deeper with some examples like Protobuf
or Flatbuffers to get a hang of them.
About Vilda:
Started with Pascal and x86 assembler and went up through the levels of abstraction to Lisp in more than 15+ years. Interested in bridging the gap between the low-level to the high-level between the server and client, between human and computer. Worked on web apps since late 1990’s using C/C++ and Python, went to high performance world of games and finance to come back to web community again now building cloud services.
Looking forward to seeing you all!
