Sales & Operations Planning and Master Scheduling Lunch and Learn Sessions

Join us for a virtual Lunch and Learn experience tailored for ASCM. This interactive program is designed to provide cross-functional education and discussion. The sessions aim to ensure that all participants start with a shared understanding of how Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Master Scheduling are designed to function within a company's operations. The sessions go beyond mere lectures and include dedicated time for discussing your company's specific situation.
Scheduled according to your needs, these two comprehensive sessions last 45 minutes or more each. They will provide participants with a deeper understanding of how S&OP and Master Production Scheduling (MPS) fit together, how they differ, and most importantly, how they should be leveraged to allocate resources and meet customer demands.

Session 2 – October 8, 2024:
- Detailed examination of Master Scheduling
- Comparison of S&OP vs. MPS: Similarities and Differences
- Summary
- Discussion

If you find yourself facing any of the following situations, these sessions will help you gain a better understanding of the scope and direction:
- Are the definitions of S&OP and Master Scheduling inconsistent across different areas of your company?
- Is your finished goods inventory excessively high or low?
- Are you discovering the need for new equipment sooner than your suppliers' lead time?
- Do you suspect that you are master scheduling at the wrong level?
- Do your S&OP meetings primarily revolve around discussing specific parts and/or customers?
- Do you have an imbalance of labor and workload?
- Are your customers or sales force disregarding your published lead times?
- Is the factory frequently missing the production schedule?
- Is your master schedule inflated?
- Is your On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) performance falling short of your customer's requirements?
