Who is the Goat? PART ONE: The Worst Job in the World

For our next meeting, we will be starting a three-part series on "that guy"-- Old Scratch, The Tempter, The Morning Star.

This series will cover the depictions of the embodiment of evil in Abrahamic religions and the forces that sculpted it thru various forms over time. Time permitting, we will incorporate some related topics, such as occultism, magic, afterlife punishment, and eschatology.

Part One will deal with the earliest depictions, ha-satan of the Old Testament, its identity and role in the Tanakh, as well as related topics such as Ningizzida, Ba'al, and yetzer hara.
