Tohickon Valley: High Rocks
Details
We will start at the Tohickon Valley Park pool parking lot and head down towards the Tohickon Creek where we will pick up the orange trail. From here we will follow the creek heading towards Ralph Stover State Park. The trail will change to yellow and there will be several opportunities to enjoy the High Rocks Vista. We will head back along the yellow trail and then take the blue trail back for a change of scenery. This hike has negligible elevation gain (~423 ft.) but can offer really nice views.
Some sections of the trail are steep and rocky- I suggest well broken in hiking boots with good ankle support. This is approximately 4 miles and should take under 2 hours.
A fully charged cell phone is a good idea but service may be spotty. I love dogs, but not on this hike.
Rain cancels. I’ll post here at least 2 hours before hike starts if cancelled.
Parking should not be a problem (40.43809,-75.07646)
