Description
Join Larry P. and Ann Coyne as she completes her second colead. We'll hike about 4 miles through Valley Forge National Historical Park, including scenic trails on Mt Misery and Mt joy. We'll move at a moderate pace (2.5 to 3mph) slowing on hills and uneven terrain. Elevation changes may add a bit of a challenge but we'll pause as needed to stay together.
MEETING POINT: Yellow Stream Trailhead Parking off 252/Wilson Road near the wooden covered bridge. Coordinates are 40.08319, - 75.45689. Meet near the bathrooms.
BRING: Water, weather appropriate clothes, sturdy shoes, and a smile. With warmer weather, bug spray is recommended. Most of the hike is shaded but there are open areas, so sunscreen is recommended. Well behaved dogs are welcome on a 6' or shorter leash.
Cancellation will be posted 2 hours in advance.
This is a volunteer run AMC hike. All participants must sign an AMC liability waiver. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
