Description

Join Larry and Friends for a one or 2 night campout at Iconic Ricketts Glen State Park. On Friday we'll meet at 9:30, hike the falls trail, passing 22 waterfalls, set up tents near Lake Jean, maybe sample the food and beverages at the Ricketts Glenn Hotel and wrap up the evening with a campfire before retiring to our tents. Saturday we'll drive about an hour to visit the Eckley Mining Village. This original mining town was recreated for the movie The Molly McGuires, starring Sean Connery. It was then taken over by the state and additionally restored as an authentic mining community.

Returning to our campsite we should have time for a shorter hike around Lake Jean and Cherry Creek, consider some dinner options and have a campfire before retiring.

Sunday morning will most likely be pack up and go time , but we'll keep another short hike open as an additional option. Call or text with questions,
