Forest Reset Hike (1 mile)

Details
Spending time in nature has been shown to lower blood pressure, reduce cortisol levels, and even enhance immune system function. Forest Reset is a guided experience designed to help you unplug, slow down, and reconnect—with both the natural world and yourself. As we explore the trails of the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge, we’ll pause in quiet spots to breathe deeply, listen closely, and let nature do what it does best: restore balance. It’s not just a walk in the woods—it’s a reset for your body and mind.
We will meet at 8:45 am at the lot titled "Tinicum Park" on Google Maps, located at 738-1098 Wanamaker Ave (420), and leave the lot promptly at 9:00 am to head towards Long Hook Creek within the Preserve at a moderate pace. We will hike about a mile, but the goal is not mileage- it's better physical and mental health simply by spending our hour or so in the woods!
No dogs, please. Dress for the weather. Only heavy rain would cancel this event.
Please note: This workshop is suitable for ages 16+, but to comply with Pennsylvania youth protection Laws, children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. This policy applies for all events offered by the Delaware Valley Chapter as well as any other chapter events within the state of Pennsylvania.
